Free download microsoft word converter 632

I have a document that is processed in Word 2010 and saved in .doc format. Whe I open same file in Word 2000, it used to throw "Word cannot start the converter mswrd632" error.

After this I did registry fix mentioned in kb973904 article. After that, the message no longer comes but document opens and has junk text instead of data.

Is there any way with which I can retain the data on document or I cant open the file correctly in Word 2000?

Any help would be appretiated.
